Quick trip to New Orleans

The City of Sin, or wait. Is that Vegas? I think New Orleans makes a pretty good case to take that crown. A city so bizarre it doesn't feel like you are in the United States. By day, the cafes and local street performers give off a refined european air, but when the sun sets the city comes alive as the dark voodoo energy descends like beads thrown from a balcony. Live bands, cheap drinks, great food, and some of the most unique people you will ever meet. Not quite southern, not quite french, New Orleans is it's own lane. Only word of advice: know your limits.

Points of interest:

  • Frenchman St. for live music
  • Beignets for breakfast (to nurse that hangover)
  • Lafitte's Bar (oldest bar in America...supposedly)
  • Late night jambalaya (to get that second wind)
  • Don't pick up beads from the ground
